Prerequisites

Completion of Architag XML101™ or Architag Level I Certification

Although not required, students will benefit from having some familiarity with Web architecture, scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, VBScript, etc.), Java, the creation of COM objects, and general database concepts.

Description

This is an advanced XML class designed to provide in-depth exposure to a wide variety of XML technologies and programming techniques. Advanced XML builds upon the foundation established in the Architag XML101™ course. The course content includes discussion of web architectures and XML-based systems development, including programming multi-tier, client/server, database-oriented, Internet and Web-based applications.

A combination of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on workshop exercises is used to reinforce the programming concepts introduced.
