Description XML, the Extensible Markup Language, provides a syntax that allows you to create your own markup schemas and makes it possible to process information structures more efficiently. This two-hour course introduces you to XML from a business standpoint, and shows how you can use it to solve the problems of data interchange, intelligent data manipulation on the browser, and data management on the server.

A case study is presented, showing how a leading company is using XML today to make their information management easier and their Web site more personalized
